About
Amanda holds a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (C.C.C.), and an EMDR therapist. Amanda is a verified counsellor by Victim’s Services.
She has a Master of Public Administration degree from the Johnson Shoyoma Graduate School of Public Policy, and a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Psychology/minor in Sociology from the University of Regina.
She grew up on a farm in Saskatchewan. She’s passionate about art, reading, and learning about whatever has caught her attention recently. She’s a late-diagnosed ADHD’er, parenting a couple wild and wonderful kids and animals with her husband.
Amanda worked in various roles in her career, including a care worker within in-patient mental health and youth care facilities, in-patient addictions counsellor, government policy analyst, manager of a community-based family support program, and counsellor in community mental health.
